When was Modernist Cuisine created?
Modernist Cuisine, the book series and the overall culinary movement, didn't have a single, specific date of creation. However, we can pinpoint some key moments:
* 2003: Nathan Myhrvold, a former Microsoft Chief Technology Officer, started a team of chefs and scientists to explore the science of cooking.
* 2008: The first volume of the book series, "Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking", was published.
* 2011: The remaining volumes, "Modernist Cuisine: The Techniques" and "Modernist Cuisine: At Home", were released.
Therefore, while the research began in 2003, the full realization of the project with the book series launch was in 2008.
