What is crab walk?
Crab walk refers to a walking motion done with the hands and feet on the ground, mimicking the sideways movement of a crab. It is a type of bodyweight exercise that primarily engages the core muscles.
To perform a crab walk, follow these steps:
1. Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides.
2. Bend down and place your hands on the ground in front of you, shoulder-width apart.
3. Step your right foot back towards your right hand and bend your left knee so your thigh is parallel to the ground.
4. Step your left foot back towards your left hand and bend your right knee so your thigh is parallel to the ground.
5. Continue to step your feet sideways, one at a time, while keeping your hands planted on the ground.
6. Take care to maintain a stable and controlled motion throughout the exercise.
During the crab walk, your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels, and your gaze should be directed forward. Keep your core muscles engaged and avoid arching or rounding your back.
Crab walk can be performed for a desired duration or for a specified number of steps, depending on your fitness level and goals. It is a versatile exercise that can be incorporated into various workout routines, such as full-body conditioning or core-focused workouts.
