How can you know that a goldfishes asleep?

A goldfish sleeping can't be known. Goldfish do not sleep in the traditional sense. Instead, they enter a state called ``resting``. During this time , they are less active and more likely to be found near the bottom of the tank.

However, goldfish can still be easily awakened by sudden movement or changes in their environment.
