Do goldfish have short term memory?

Goldfish have a surprisingly good memory, lasting at least three months and possibly much longer.

Experiments at the University of Plymouth (England) and elsewhere have demonstrated this through colored bead association to obtain food. Some individuals were still responding accurately after three months, and there is some preliminary evidence of long-term storage lasting much longer in certain situations
