Things You'll Need

  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Skewers
  • Butter
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Lemon Pepper seasoning
  • Grill or oven

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers for your shrimp kabobs, soak them in a pan of water for at least a half hour before grilling. If you are baking your shrimp kabobs, you do not need to soak them. Metal skewers work just fine either way. Also, if using an oven, this is a good time to preheat it to 350.

  2. Hold your shrimp so that it resembles the number 6. Thread skewer through so you hit the meatiest part plus go through the tail. Each shrimp should be pierced twice in this manner. Leave about a half inch between pieces on shrimp kabob.

  3. Brush your shrimp kabobs with melted butter. Sprinkle on Old Bay seasoning and Lemon Pepper on both sides. If you prefer, instead of Lemon Pepper seasoning, you can add a squirt of fresh lemon juice to your shrimp kabobs.

  4. Place on medium hot grill, or bake uncovered in oven. Watch your shrimp kabobs, it doesn't take long, and it depends on the thickness of your shrimp. Turn kabobs once. Shrimp is done when it takes on a pink opaque appearance. Usually takes around 10 minutes or less on a grill, about 10 to 15 in an oven.
