Are spaghetti noodle made of cells?
Spaghetti noodles are not made of cells.
Here's why:
* Spaghetti is made from wheat flour: Wheat flour is a ground-up form of the wheat plant's seed (grain). The flour itself doesn't contain living cells.
* Cells are the building blocks of living organisms: Plants are made of cells, but when you grind up the wheat to make flour, you break down the cells.
* Cooking further alters the structure: When you cook spaghetti, the heat changes the structure of the starch molecules in the flour, causing them to absorb water and form the familiar noodle shape. This process further removes any trace of the original cells.
So, while spaghetti comes from a plant that is made of cells, the spaghetti itself is a processed food product that doesn't contain any living cells.
