Does brining meat keep it longer?
Brining does not extend the shelf life of meat. Meat should be kept in the refrigerator or freezer to keep it fresh. This is because the brining process only helps to flavor and tenderize the meat, but it does not remove or kill any harmful bacteria that may be present.
