Do sand hill cranes fish for food?

Sandhill cranes do not fish for food. They are primarily herbivores and their diet consists of:

* Grains: Corn, wheat, rice

* Roots: Tubers, bulbs

* Seeds: Wild grasses, weeds

* Insects: Grasshoppers, beetles

* Small amphibians: Frogs, salamanders
