Can betta live with eel in a fish tank?

Betta fish, also known as Siamese fighting fish, are known for their aggression towards other fish, especially those with similar shapes and colors. Eels, on the other hand, are generally peaceful and may become stressed or aggressive in a community tank with certain fish, such as bettas. Therefore, keeping bettas and eels together in the same fish tank is not recommended. Bettas are best kept alone or with peaceful tankmates like small tetras, rasboras, and kuhli loaches, while eels should be kept in a species-only tank or with compatible tankmates that meet their specific needs.
