How to replace ignitors in gas stove?

Step 1: Gather the necessary tools and parts.

* New ignitors (check your stove's manual for the correct type and size)

* Screwdriver

* Pliers

* Wire stripper

* Utility knife

Step 2: Disconnect the power to the stove.

* Flip the circuit breaker for the stove to the "Off" position.

* If your stove is plugged into an outlet, unplug it.

Step 3: Remove the old ignitors.

* Locate the ignitors. They are usually located under the burners, near the gas jets.

* Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the ignitors in place.

* Gently pry the ignitors out of the stovetop.

Step 4: Clean the ignitor holes.

* Use a wire brush to clean the ignitor holes. This will help to ensure that the new ignitors will make good contact with the gas jets.

Step 5: Install the new ignitors.

* Insert the new ignitors into the holes in the stovetop. Make sure that the ignitors have the wire contact ends sticking up.

* Gently push the ignitors in place.

* Replace the screws that hold the ignitors in place.

Step 6: Test the ignitors.

Turn on the stove. The ignitors should spark and ignite the gas jets. If they do not, repeat the steps above and make sure that the ignitors are properly installed.

Step 7: Reconnect the power to the stove.

* Flip the circuit breaker for the stove back to the "On" position.

* If your stove is plugged into an outlet, plug it back in.
