When was chicken first served?
It's impossible to pinpoint the exact date chicken was first served. Here's why:
* Domestication: Chickens were domesticated in Southeast Asia around 8,000 years ago. That doesn't mean they were immediately eaten as a primary food source.
* Ancient Usage: Archaeological evidence suggests chickens were used for cockfighting and eggs long before they were widely consumed as meat.
* Varying Cultures: Different cultures have had varying relationships with chickens over time. Some embraced them as a food source, while others used them for other purposes.
So, while we don't know the exact date, we can say that chickens have been part of human diets for thousands of years.
