What age can baby drink coconut water?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life and continued breastfeeding, with the introduction of solid foods, for at least the first year of life. Coconut water is not recommended as a substitute for breast milk or formula.

Coconut water is a natural source of electrolytes and minerals, but it is not a complete source of nutrition and does not contain the nutrients that babies need for growth and development. Additionally, coconut water may be high in potassium and may not be safe for babies with certain medical conditions.

If you are considering giving your baby coconut water, talk to your pediatrician first.
