How do you remove red licorice from carpet?
1. Blot up the stain immediately. Don't rub it, as this can spread the stain.
2. Scrape off any solids. Use a spoon or dull knife to scrape off any solid pieces of licorice from the carpet.
3. Blot the stain with cold water. Dip a clean cloth in cold water and blot the stain until it starts to lift.
4. Apply a stain remover. There are several commercial stain removers that are effective at removing red licorice stains. Follow the directions on the label.
5. Rinse the area with water. After you’ve applied the stain remover, rinse the area with water to remove any residue.
6. Blot the area dry. Use a clean cloth to blot the area dry until it’s completely dry.
