Is green tea an herbal tea?

Green tea is not an herbal tea. Herbal teas, or tisanes, are made by infusing herbs, spices, or fruits in hot water. Green tea, on the other hand, is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, and is therefore a true tea.
