How to Make Pod Tea From Fresh Pods
Poppy Tea is a drink made from the crushed fresh or dried pods of the poppy plant. Papaver Somniferum pods produce an opiate tea often used for pain relief. However pod teas made from legal poppy varieties like Papaver giganthemum and Papaver paeoniflorum also have a mild sedative effect with none of the dangerous or addictive properties. However, many find poppy pod tea's bitter taste to be hard to acquire. Lemon and honey or a splash of orange juice will help you acclimate.
