Where did soft drink originate from?
Soft drink originated from mineral water which has natural effervescence, found mainly in Europe. In the 17th century, Italian, Swiss, and German people started adding flavors to carbonated mineral water by using fruits like lemons, oranges, cherries, etc. Then other flavors were combined such as herbs, flowers, barks in Europe, which were believed to have different medicinal benefits. Some of it had medicinal properties while some just tasted well which then was developed and commercialized to be bottled soft drinks.
