What is the proof of tequila?
The standard proof of tequila is 38% alcohol by volume (ABV), or 76 proof in the United States. However, some tequila brands may have a higher or lower proof. For example, some anejo tequilas can be as high as 40% ABV (80 proof), while some blanco tequilas may be as low as 35% ABV (70 proof).
