How do you make shrimp cocktail?

### Ingredients

* 1 pound (16-20) large shrimp, raw, peeled and deveined

* 2 quarts water

* 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning

* 1 tablespoon kosher salt

* 2 bay leaves

* 2 lemons, cut into wedges

* Cocktail sauce, for serving

Instructions

1. In a large pot, combine the water, Old Bay seasoning, salt, bay leaves, and lemons. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

2. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.

3. Remove the shrimp from the pot with a slotted spoon and place them in a bowl of ice water to cool.

4. Once the shrimp are cool, drain them and serve with cocktail sauce.

Tips

* To make sure the shrimp are cooked evenly, add them to the pot one at a time.

* Do not overcook the shrimp, as this will make them tough.

* If you don't have any lemons on hand, you can also use lime wedges.

* You can adjust the amount of Old Bay seasoning and salt to your taste.

* Shrimp cocktail is a great appetizer or party food. It can be served with crackers, bread, or vegetables.
