How to Mix Mimosas
Mimosas, with their effervescence and sweet citrus flavor, can turn any late breakfast into a full-on brunch. A classic cocktail that pairs orange juice with bubbly, mimosas can class up any get together while still adding a little whimsy to the proceedings. Traditionally, mimosas are made with Champagne. This can be costly, though, so substitute any above-average white sparkling wine. Although mimosas are deceptively simple to make, mixing them the right way transform your mimosas into champagne cocktails instead of boozy juice.
Things You'll Need
- Champagne flutes
- Sparkling wine
- Orange juice
- Maraschino cherry
Instructions

Fill a champagne flute 1/3 full with orange juice. Fresh, from concentrate or bottled juice will do, although fresh orange juice will contribute the best overall taste and appearance.

Slowly fill the rest of the flute with sparkling wine. Pour the wine slowly so it doesn't bubble up and flow out of the glass.

Garnish with a cherry. Mimosas don't really need a garnish, but cherries add a nice bit of color to the drink. Other garnishes that go well with the cocktail are red grapes, lemon twists or thin orange slices.
