What is the highest alcohol content in beer Utah?
The highest alcohol content allowed for beer in Utah is 5.0% ABV (Alcohol by Volume). This is regardless of whether the beer is sold in a grocery store, convenience store, bar, or restaurant.
Utah has a unique and complex alcohol law system, which includes a "Zion Curtain" (a barrier between customers and alcohol service) and limitations on alcohol sales on Sundays.
Important note: While the legal limit is 5.0% ABV, some craft breweries in Utah can get special permits to produce beers with higher alcohol content. However, these beers are not allowed to be sold within Utah. They can only be shipped out of state.
