Where does chocolate log orignally come from?
Chocolate log, also called Yule Log, Bûche de Noël or Christingle, originally come from France. During the winter the log was the center piece of the hearth and lighting it during the celebration was of great symbolic significance. In Northern Europe there was a Yule log tradition from the Vikings whereby large logs were burnt throughout the Twelve Days of Christmas, often continuing even into January.
