How to Make Corona Beer-Bottle Salt and Pepper Shakers
Corona beer-bottle salt and pepper shakers are often seen at Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants. But you can make your own to use at home or to give as gifts. To make your own Corona salt and pepper shakers, you'll need to purchase lids specifically made for the shakers. Corona salt and pepper shaker caps are available at online retailers and bar-supply stores.
Things You'll Need
- Empty Corona or Coronita beer bottles
- Corona salt and pepper caps
- Salt and pepper
- Funnel
Instructions
-
Run the empty beer bottles in the dishwasher to sterilize. Let the bottles dry thoroughly overnight.
-
Use a small funnel to fill the bottles with salt and pepper at least 3/4 full. Add several grains of rice to the salt to absorb any excess moisture.
-
Cap the bottles securely. The Corona caps made specifically for the bottle salt and pepper shakers already have holes for sprinkling the seasoning inside.
