How to Buy Beer Online

If you're dying to try an exotic import, or if you just find your local selection lacking, ordering beer online is an easy way to check out a variety of brews from around the world. Beer can be bought online by the bottle, six pack or case, and there are even Beer of the Month clubs for those who want to try something different on a regular basis. There are many online beer and wine shops, but not all states allow shipment of alcoholic beverages. Each individual website will have a list of states to which it may ship.

Instructions

  1. Find an online beer retailer that will ship to your state. BeerNews.org has compiled a spreadsheet with a list of popular retailers and what states they are able to ship to (see Resources). You can also check the sellers' individual websites to find out if they are able to ship beer to you.

  2. Peruse the selection of beer on the site that you choose and decide what to order. If you are trying something new, you can check individual reviews of different beers on sites such as BeerAdvocate and RateBeer to see what others have to say about your selection.

  3. Select the beer you would like to buy, add it to your cart and check out.

  4. Wait for your beer to be delivered. Keep in mind that the delivery must be signed for by someone over the age of 21 and identification must be presented.
