Did simple Simon get a pie?

That depends on which version of the story you're thinking of! In the traditional version, Simple Simon does *not* get a pie. He goes to the fair to buy one, but is tricked by the pieman who sells him a "thumb" instead.

However, in some modern retellings or adaptations, Simple Simon might be more successful and get a pie in the end.
