Flummery - Sweet, Jelly & Carnation Milk
This recipe blends the classic jelly base with the richness of Carnation Milk for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients:
* 1 packet (3 oz) of your favorite flavored gelatin (strawberry, raspberry, etc.)
* 1 cup boiling water
* 1 can (14 oz) Carnation Evaporated Milk
* 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
* 1/2 cup cold water
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bloom the Gelatin: In a medium bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it forms a soft mass.
2. Dissolve Gelatin: Add the boiling water to the bloomed gelatin and stir until it is completely dissolved.
3. Combine with Milk: Gradually whisk in the evaporated milk and sugar until well combined.
4. Flavor: Add the vanilla extract, if desired.
5. Chill: Pour the mixture into a mold or individual dessert dishes and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
6. Serve: Unmold the flummery and serve chilled.
