How to Store Papayas (4 Steps)

Ripe papayas moisten the lungs, relieve coughs and asthma, and are excellent sources of vitamins A, C and E. But whatever your use, keep papayas ripe, fresh and ready to use.

Instructions

  1. Keep unripe papayas with a banana in a paper bag at room temperature.

  2. If the papaya is green, let it ripen at room temperature to an orange-yellow color.

  3. Place in a plastic bag in refrigerator once ripe.

  4. Store for no more than a week.
