Can you run your dishwasher if sink is clogged?
It is not recommended to run your dishwasher if your sink is clogged. When your sink is clogged, the wastewater cannot drain properly and may back up into your dishwasher. This can cause damage to your dishwasher and can also create a mess in your kitchen.
If your sink is clogged, you should clear the clog before running your dishwasher. You can clear a clog by using a drain snake or by pouring a chemical drain cleaner down the drain. If you are unable to clear the clog yourself, you may need to call a plumber.
