What is stone coated cookware made from?

Stone coated cookware is typically made from one of two types of materials:

1. Aluminum with a non-stick coating: Aluminum is a good conductor of heat, which makes it ideal for cooking. Stone coating is a material that is applied to the aluminum to create a non-stick surface. Stone coating is made from multiple materials, including ceramic and granite, which makes it durable and resistant to scratches and wear.

2. Stainless steel with a stone coating: Stainless steel is a durable material that is resistant to rust and corrosion. Stone coating is applied to the stainless steel to create a non-stick surface.

Some stone coated cookware may also be made from cast iron or copper, but these are less common.
