How to Use an Imusa Tortilla Warmer
A tortilla warmer actively heats tortillas and keeps them warm for serving. The version by Imusa is microwave safe, but it cannot be used in the oven. Essentially, the tortilla warmer is an insulated container that holds heat inside from microwaving and keeps the tortillas warm and pliable. Use the Imusa tortilla warmer with flour or corn tortillas; the instructions are the same for both.
Things You'll Need
- Tortillas
- Aluminum foil (optional)
Instructions
-
Stack cold tortillas into the bottom half of the tortilla warmer.
-
Cover the warmer with the lid.
-
Microwave the tortilla warmer on high power for 10 to 15 seconds or until the tortillas are warm and pliable.
-
Remove the stack of tortillas from the warmer and optionally wrap them in aluminum foil. Return the stack to the tortilla warmer and replace the lid.
-
Serve the tortillas directly from the covered tortilla warmer on the table. Keep the cover on to prevent the tortillas from drying out and becoming cold.
