How to Fry Crawfish
You don't have to be from Louisiana to enjoy the savory flavors of fried crawfish. Cajun cuisine combines the delicacies of the sea with the spices of the south to create mouth watering dishes that are sure to please even the most finicky eater. Follow these steps to create your own fried seafood dish with crawfish.
Things You'll Need
- 1 to 2 lbs of crawfish
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 to 4 eggs-Adjust to quantity of crawfish
- Milk
- Flour
- Butter
- 1 Lg Bag
- Sharp knife
Instructions

Pierce seafood bag with knife to create a small hole in the bottom. Saturate crawfish bag with water. Empty bag and repeat process.

Seal the hole in the bag. Shake entire container of salt into bag of crawfish filling bag with enough water to cover crawfish. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat process.

Whip your eggs. Mix salt into the milk. Add this milk mixture to your whipped eggs, blending thoroughly.

Dip each crawfish into your milk and eggs mixture.

Mix salt and pepper into your flour.

Melt butter in a deep frying skillet. Pick a milk-dipped crawfish and dip into the flour mixture. Repeat this step for all crawfish.

Add your floured crawfish to the melted hot butter over a medium to high heat setting and monitor carefully until all are done. Be careful not to overcrowd your skillet allowing room to turn your crawfish during the cooking process. Dip your fried crawfish into your own special seafood sauce or serve alone.
