How to Grill Corn in a Conventional Oven
Grilled corn on the cob can be a tasty addition to a meal. If you don't have a grill or weather prevents you from grilling corn outside, you can grill it inside using a conventional oven. This method is often referred to as oven roasting, but the result will taste very similar to grilled corn.
Things You'll Need
- Ears of corn
- Water (optional)
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Prepare the corn by removing the outer layers of husk, leaving at least one layer of husk on the corn. Remove the stem portion of the ear.
-
Tear squares of aluminum foil large enough to fit around the corn and leave 2 to 4 inches of foil over the ends.
-
Wrap each piece of corn with a piece of aluminum foil.
-
Place the corn on the bottom rack of the oven.
-
Cook for 15 minutes, turn the corn and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
-
Remove the corn from the oven carefully, as it will be extremely hot. Keep the ears covered with foil until ready to serve.
