How to Cook Chicken Wings in an Oilless Fryer
Cooking chicken wings in an oilless fryer is healthier than cooking them in a deep fryer because oil isn't needed. Deep frying can be difficult and expensive because a lot of oil is needed to cover the wings. The oil is difficult to reuse because it becomes dirty after one use and is challenging to store. The no-oil fryer uses convention heat to crisp the outside of the chicken wings, while trapping in the moisture.
Things You'll Need
- Oilless fryer
- 20-pound propane tank
Instructions
-
Screw the oilless fryer hose into a 20-pound propane tank. Turn the knob of the propane tank counterclockwise to open. Turn the knob at the front of the oilless fryer clockwise to turn it on. Turn the lighter clockwise to light the fryer.
-
Take off the fryer's lid. Place the chicken wings into the fryer. Let the wings cook for approximately 15 minutes.
-
Insert a meat thermometer into the center of a chicken wing. Remove the wings when the temperature reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
