I put my pot roast in around 10am the crock but it is not 6pm and still tough there water what else should i do?

1. Increase the cooking time.

If your pot roast is still tough after 8 hours, increase the cooking time by 1-2 hours. This will allow the meat more time to break down and become tender.

2. Add more liquid.

If the pot roast is dry, add more liquid, such as beef broth, water, or red wine. This will help to keep the meat from drying out and becoming tough.

3. Use a meat mallet.

Before cooking the pot roast, use a meat mallet to tenderize it. This will help to break down the muscle fibers and make the meat more tender.

4. Marinate the pot roast.

Marinating the pot roast before cooking will help to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a mixture of olive oil, herbs, spices, and vinegar.

5. Cook the pot roast on low heat.

Cooking the pot roast on low heat will help to prevent it from becoming tough. The ideal temperature for cooking a pot roast is between 275 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

6. Use a slow cooker.

If you have a slow cooker, use it to cook the pot roast. Slow cookers are ideal for cooking tough cuts of meat, as they allow the meat to cook slowly and evenly.
