How do you plumb oil boiler and a stove in parallel?
Step 1: Shut off the water supply:
1. Turn off the main water supply valve.
2. Open a faucet to relieve any pressure in the system.
Step 2: Disconnect the existing plumbing:
1. Disconnect the water supply line to the oil boiler and the stove.
2. Disconnect the drain line from the oil boiler and the stove.
Step 3: Install a tee fitting:
1. Cut the main water supply line and insert a tee fitting.
2. Connect the water supply line to the inlet of the tee fitting.
3. Connect the water supply line to the oil boiler to one of the outlets of the tee fitting.
4. Connect the water supply line to the stove to the other outlet of the tee fitting.
Step 4: Connect the drain lines:
1. Cut the drain line and insert a tee fitting.
2. Connect the drain line to the inlet of the tee fitting.
3. Connect the drain line from the oil boiler to one of the outlets of the tee fitting.
4. Connect the drain line from the stove to the other outlet of the tee fitting.
Step 5: Turn on the water supply:
1. Slowly turn on the main water supply valve.
2. Check all the connections for leaks.
Step 6: Test the system:
1. Turn on the oil boiler and the stove.
2. Check that both the boiler and the stove are working properly.
Note: If you are not comfortable working with plumbing, it is best to hire a professional to install the tee fittings and connect the water supply and drain lines.
