How do you remove dried spray foam from wood?

Materials needed:

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

- Putty knife

- Utility knife

- Sandpaper

- Mineral spirits

- Rags

- Scraper

Instructions:

1. Put on your safety glasses and gloves. Spray foam can be harmful if ingested or inhaled, so it's important to take precautions when removing it.

2. Use a utility knife to score the dried spray foam. This will help to loosen it and make it easier to remove. Be careful not to cut into the wood.

3. Gently pry up the spray foam with a putty knife. Work slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the wood.

4. If the spray foam is stubborn, you can use mineral spirits to help dissolve it. Apply the mineral spirits to a rag and then rub it over the spray foam. Let it sit for a few minutes before trying to remove it again.

5. Use a scraper to remove any remaining spray foam. Be careful not to gouge the wood.

6. Sand the area to smooth out any rough edges.

7. Clean the area with a damp rag.

8. Apply a sealant to the wood to protect it from future damage.
