Is enriched wheat flour a whole grain?

Whole grains are those that contain the entire grain kernel, including the bran, germ, and endosperm. Enriched wheat flour is made from refined wheat flour, which has had the bran and germ removed. This process removes many of the nutrients that are found in whole grains, such as fiber, iron, and magnesium.

For this reason, enriched wheat flour is not considered to be a whole grain.
