Can you eat peanut butter on a bland diet?
Peanut butter is not typically recommended on a bland diet.
A bland diet typically consists of foods that are easy to digest and low in dietary fibre, salt and sugar. It excludes common allergens and foods with a strong flavour.
Peanut butter can be high in fat and difficult for some people to digest, especially if they have conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or Crohn's disease.
Additionally, peanuts are one of the most common food allergens. If you have a peanut allergy, peanut butter should be avoided completely.
