How to Make the Perfect Artichoke
Many artichoke recipes are boring, but this one has a kick.
Things You'll Need
- 4 artichokes
- 1 tsp. of dried chili flakes
- Half a lemon
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- Dipping Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 tsp. tabasco smoky sauce
Instructions

Cut the bottom of the artichoke off and leave about half an inch of the stem remaining

Place the artichole in a pan and fill with water until it is about 1/3 the way up the artichoke, then remove artichokes from the pan

Add dried chili flakes, salt pepper, garlic, and squeeze lemon into the water, and stir

Add artichokes back into the perfumed water

Allow water to come to a boil and turn down to a simmer for 1 hour

After one hour check artichokes by placing a sharp steak knife down the center of the artichoke, it should slide in and out easily.

Combine mayo and tabasco for the sauce
