Can you heat the soup in can over a fire?
Never heat canned goods directly over a fire!
Canned goods are not designed to withstand the high temperatures of an open flame. While the can may seem sturdy, the intense heat can cause the metal to weaken and rupture, potentially causing the contents to spill or even explode.
Instead of heating a canned good directly over a fire, it's much safer to use an alternative method, such as cooking the food in a separate pot or pan, or using a camp stove or portable grill.
