How to Melt Chocolate and Dip Strawberries in It
Instead of eating plain strawberries, you can dip them into melted chocolate. Stores often sell gourmet chocolate covered strawberries, but you can make your own at home to save money. Chocolate covered strawberries can make your night more romantic, or you can create them for a light and appealing dessert or snack. The sweet treats not only taste delightful, but they also look decorative and appealing.

- Waxed paper
- 12 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate
- Microwave-safe bowl
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Airtight container

-
Chop large chocolate chunks into small piece with a knife.
-
Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Add 2 tbsp. of butter to the chocolate.
-
Set the microwave heat setting to 50 percent power. Microwave the chocolate for 1 minute. Stir the chocolate.

-
Place the strawberries onto the waxed paper. Allow them to cool completely. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to help harden the chocolate.
