How much ground nutmeg do you use in place of 1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg?

Ground nutmeg and fresh nutmeg are not interchangeable in recipes at a simple 1:1 ratio. Fresh nutmeg is quite a bit stronger than ground. A good rule of thumb is to use roughly 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg for every 1 teaspoon of fresh nutmeg.
