What is chipotle cheese fondue?
Chipotle Cheese Fondue is a creamy, melted cheese dip that is flavored with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. It is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served as an appetizer, main course, or dessert.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450 grams) of shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a combination of your favorites)
- 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) of milk
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of minced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 milliliters) of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) of chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the shredded cheese, heavy cream, milk, cornstarch, chipotle peppers, salt, and black pepper.
2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer the fondue for 5-10 minutes, or until it is melted and smooth.
4. Garnish the fondue with chopped fresh cilantro and serve with your favorite dippers, such as bread cubes, crackers, vegetables, or fruit.
